3 Tips To Turn Your Negative Pattern Into Your Blueprint For Success!

Does it feel like no matter what you try or how hard you work, you end up with the same negative outcome? Like you’re just reliving the same negative pattern over and over again? (hello, Groundhog Day right?!)


Ugh, and then the shaming and blaming yourself for it!

That’s no way for you to live – when there’s so much more available for you!

It’s definitely not unusual for me to receive intuitive nudges that lead me to surprising, magical outcomes at this point in my life. In fact, I can count on them happening.

But that’s because I’ve learned to notice, to listen and to act on them. But it wasn’t always that way.

I did a lot of things that didn’t feel right for me because I talked myself into it and passed on many things that did feel right because I talked myself out of it. Not the right combo!

Recently I met a new friend in a very divine connection way that some people may call random – a fluke – but it was very on purpose by the Universe. Matt had been doing the same things and it wasn’t leading him down a path of alignment or purpose.

Without the power of a dream you can get swallowed up in the chaos.

You lose sight of what really matters.

Your mind fixates on problems, obstacles and life starts to feel too hard.

You tell yourself that once you have x, y, z handled THEN you can focus on your big dreams. So you spend your days just trying to whittle it all away only to feel small, tired and powerless.

You feel the life slipping out of you more every day and you may start to question the point of it all.

You may even have thoughts that there’s “too much to do” to focus on your dreams right now.

I won’t let that happen for you. I’m right here, calling to you.

Listen to my voice. Feel the energy.

Your life is not a problem to solve.

You are everything and more – more than any temporary problem.

Keep dreaming beloved. Beyond the problems.

How’s your enthusiasm?

It’s an amazing day when you’re living in alignment!

Your life is filled with all the things that make you giddy, what is most meaningful for you and keeps you all smiles, all day!

You feel at ease, peaceful + content – but you’re revved and ready with enthusiasm for more!

Every morning when I wake, my heart immediately jumps to “what do I get to do today?” I feel an instant lift as I scan through my list of activities.

I have an enthusiasm for life that I can’t quite describe.

I find myself saying with a smile, “I love my life” and “thank you Universe, more please”. I literally spend my days serving other people in ways that feel most meaningful for me.

I feel like I’m walking on clouds and my heart overflows. Yes, I feel THAT good!

Does this sound too good to be true? Unrealistic to feel this good in your life?

When did living that happy become unrealistic? Why do people doubt it’s possible?

Because of their past and the beliefs they’ve collected along the way.

It’s not uncommon to develop a twisted sense of what life could be like. Settling on thoughts like “if I can just get through this day or this week” or feeling like dreams are super hard to come by or only happen for the lucky ones.

But alignment is possible for everyone. And it really does feel like cupcakes and rainbows – or whatever makes your heart go pitter-patter.

Living in alignment looks different for everyone, but living an unhappy, miserable, hard life – looks the same for everyone. It’s hard, definitely no fun. To sum it up, it sucks.

And I was there. That was my life at one time.

I was miserable, afraid. I second guessed myself. I fell short on the outcomes I wanted.

lost my dreamer’s outlook on life. That’s when things really took a turn for the worst.

I did what I thought I should do and ignored my feelings. Until I couldn’t ignore them anymore. I was getting sick, my life was falling apart – and I had to take notice before it was literally too late.

Living in alignment only happens once you take notice of being out of alignment – and doing something about it.

I don’t ignore my feelings anymore. I notice when I’m out of alignment and do what it takes to get back in alignment.

And for me, that means trusting my sense of knowing what’s best for me.

How have you been feeling when you first wake in the morning? Does your heart skip a beat to get started on all the goodness that awaits? Are you so excited you can hardly believe this is your life? Do you find yourself saying, “how did I get here”? As in this magical space that is YOUR life?

If not, what do you think, feel and say to yourself when you get up? How is life feeling for you lately? What are you noticing?

If life is not feeling all it’s meant to be for you, chances are your intuition has been poking at you about it.

You may experience things like:

  • you have a sense of restlessness, like something is missing
  • you feel far from home, like you’re not where you’re supposed to be
  • your relationships, circles and friendships feel slightly different or disconnected
  • you may feel more depressed or anxious than ever
  • it’s getting harder to hold onto the life you’ve consciously created and yet you’re not sure what else you want
  • you miss feeling joyful and seek more connection

If any of these resonate, they are truly good signs.

Your soul is calling.

It’s trying to help you find your way back to yourself. Back to alignment. Back home.

It’s like staring at a blurred object, seeing double – and then adjusting to bring it into focus. The split images become one. They click and all is complete.

Are you feeling incomplete?

Life is not supposed to be so rigid, hard and complicated. It is supposed to feel light and fun where you feel like a dreamer again.

Have certain things run their course?

 

A another week has come and gone. That’s the cycle of life, something starts and then it ends only to start something new again. One continuous cycle of start to finish.

From the cycle of flowers in bloom, to the cycle of the moon to the changing seasons, always a beginning and an end into another beginning.

As we head out of the summer season and into Fall it opens another space for you to step into. A time of your life to create beautiful things.

Have you had time to think about what you want for the season ahead? What you’d like to see happen as we head to the finish line for 2018?

Which brings us to the energy focus for this week.

With the shifts on the planet at this time many are finding that what used to work for them, no longer does. A cycle of their life is ending in different ways.

This ending can come in the form of relationships, jobs, children growing up and moving out on their own and for some, just a simple awareness that what used to be enough for them, no longer is.

This can feel uneasy, discomforting and even confusing because when something feels like it’s ending, it can seem like a loss – but it’s all part of the process.

Because while something may have run it’s course and come to an end, a beautiful beginning is in the works.

At this time there are many caring souls being called forward to serve at higher levels, called for their spiritual promotion.

In order to allow for that to happen, some things – responsibilities and interests, must fall away to clear energetic space.

So – if this resonates – what used to work, what used to interest you or satisfy you, no longer does. That cycle has ended as you are called into a new one.

One of greater purpose, divine purpose.

Resisting these cycles can cause unease and prevent you from fully experiencing your life.

For example if you feel a shift in your interests and resist it by questioning, pushing yourself pr feeling loss vs. moving into the next cycle with an open mind and enthusiasm – you may feel confused, frustrated or out of sorts, you suffer and miss the purpose of the shift.

As I explained to a client this week who had felt this very shift in some of her interests and responsibilities, it is not always a lack of motivation or desire (thanks for that one ego) – it is a shift IN alignment. (high five to the Universe)

When you are called to serve a higher purpose, what used to interest you or – fill your time and focus – no longer will. It’s not that you will stop or walk away from all things entirely, it simply means that other things may take a higher precedence over other things.

Like learning a new spiritual skill, focusing more on connection, putting your own energy needs first – or on a bigger scale, making the decision to fully step into your calling.

You are meant to move on to the divine purpose intended for you. And you’ll feel it.

So, if you’ve been feeling a shifty, unsettling-ness in your energy and focus, like there’s something ‘else’ for you and you’ve lost touch with what used to fill you up inside – this may be why.

Welcome to the next cycle or the start of your spiritual promotion.

Here are some tips to move through the energy this week.

Stay present. No need to rush, wish it was tomorrow, or the next level or step or that you “just knew” what was next. If you find yourself worrying, fretting about your future – you’re living in the past. Be in harmony with the cycle by enjoying the now.

Love yourself right where you are. The Universe does, you can too. That means be good to yourself. Now is the time to invest in you and pay special attention to what brings you joy with no judging yourself for what no longer does.

Enjoy and trust the process. Embrace that things will fall away to make room for new beginnings. By doing so you will connect more fully to your soul’s purpose, notice the signs and be guided where you are meant to go.

This week’s intention:

“I am guided by the cycles of life and live in complete harmony.”

Inner Chatter Matters!

Most people think the little voice in their head is the truth, even when it’s being critical. They mistake this voice as their own and it makes them feel small, insignificant and foolish.

What if the critical voice is wrong?

Everyone has a voice in their head. It chatters away, talking you up or talking you down.

According to scientists, the average person has approximately 60,000-70,000 thoughts a day. And what’s even more startling is that of those 60,000-70,000 thoughts, 95% are the same thoughts from yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that.

That means your mind is playing the same thoughts over and over, which wouldn’t be bad if it weren’t for the next statistic:

  • For the average person, 70-80% of those thoughts are negative.

Your inner chatter matters in your quest to live empowered and aligned AF.

You must make a commitment to be there for yourself. It’s important to identify “who” is chattering away in your mind!

Any voice that is NOT supportive is NOT your higher self, it’s NOT true to you.  Your intuitive voice, your higher self loves you unconditionally.

Feel How You Want to Feel

Have you ever struggled with feelings? Feeling something you don’t want to? Then feeling stuck with the feeling? Who hasn’t!

Statistics for anxiety disorders and depression continue to climb, leading you to believe you should have control of your emotions and if you don’t there’s something wrong with you.
  • 1 in 6 Americans take antidepressants
  • there are over 30 different kinds of antidepressants
  • Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), 40 million Americans over the age of 18 are affected by anxiety — roughly 18 percent of the nation’s population
  • The constant state of stress can lead to clinical depression.
  • Anxiety disorder may cause loss of appetite and lack of interest in sex. Other symptoms include muscle tension, headaches, and insomnia.
  • Anxiety Is Bad for Your Heart! Anxiety can be just as important as other factors, such as high cholesterol, in determining whether you get heart disease or not. Previous studies have shown that mental stress and depression have harmful effects on the heart and blood vessels

Where does this put America’s state of mind? Anxiety disorders and depression increase by 20% every year.

Add to that the conditioned need for instant results, instant resolve to feeling bad and it leads to confusion, dead and dying energy – no passion, no desire, no dreams, no goals.
  • Maybe you want more growth in your business and you’re not seeing it – and it’s stressing you out, making your decisions more confusing, feeling more desperate.
  • Maybe your family never listens to you – and it makes you feel invisible and you’re not sure what to do to change it, you feel lost and isolated.
  • Maybe you have a mission you feel passionate about, but you have no energy or confidence to get it out in the world – and it’s weighing on your heart, bringing you down.
Whatever the root cause is of your feelings – you’re not stuck with them, not stuck where you are.
And medicating the symptoms is NOT the answer but many women think they have to in order to feel well again – or just to make the feelings go away.
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
That’s exactly what I’m here to help you with, how to own your feelings so you’re never stuck with one you don’t want or like again – without medication or isolation.

You are taught that feeling bad is a bad thing. But being emotionally healthy does not mean you must be happy all the time.

There’s a lot of information out there about emotions, feelings. Giving the impression that if you cannot control your emotions, there’s something wrong with you.

EMOTIONS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE CONTROLLED, THEY ARE MEANT TO BE FELT.

You can feel what you feel and still be emotionally healthy. It’s time to let your feelings be your guide to a happier, healthier life. I help my clients understand how to use their emotions holistically – all of them. 

Of course I’m going to say there’s a better way. And it’s going to sound too simple. Because – statistics, news, media, hype, misinformation – but taking charge of how you feel really is simple.

You can start each day by choosing your feeling set point. Yes, you can actually choose how you want to feel, how you feel IS entirely up to you.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that emotions are supposed to be controlled, and if you can’t control your emotions – there’s a problem. YOU are the problem. But that’s entirely wrong. I will say it again because it’s that important.

Emotions are not meant to be controlled, they are meant to be felt.

That’s why every emotion you have, has a physical component.

Emotions are signals – not something to avoid, deny or ignore. Simply medicating someone so they don’t feel or notice their emotional signals solves NOTHING. So if someone takes meds but goes into the same life with the same beliefs, in the same conditions – problems get worse.

Where’s the power in that approach? It allows someone to believe they have no power, no control, no hope. That does not sit well with me.

Your feeling setpoint will change day-to-day – and it should. Life changes, you can change and adapt – like a ninja to stay ahead of the curve whether that be calm, organized, centered.

This is about choosing a state of BEING or feeling to move through your day on full awareness mode vs. fingers crossed, hope it goes well mode.

If you feel yourself tensing up, getting distracted, wearing down – simply revisit your feeling set point and decide what you need to do in the moment to move toward it. It’s like hitting your feeling reset button whenever you need it – just like rebooting your computer when it gets too bogged down.

That means telling yourself what you need to hear. Do not underestimate the power of this.

You ARE in charge of your energy and you can take charge of your chatter – which will get you to the feeling set point you want and need to handle your life.

The worst thing you can do is focus on how you don’t want to feel, journal about it, talk about it, tell others about it – it all adds up to magnifying how you don’t want to feel.

Make no mistake – This does not mean stuff feelings, ignore them or pretend your fine. Actually acknowledge and bring presence to how you are feeling – but if it’s not how you want to feel, do with the intention that you are not staying in that bad feeling space.

Awareness of how you are feeling, tuning in throughout your day to check your feeling set point is what helps you navigate as the day unfolds vs. unraveling with the day’s unexpected events. As long as you are aware, you can notice what you notice and adjust to a better feeling thought and emotional place.

Introduce then reinforce the belief that you can choose how you feel – you can steer your emotions in the direction you want them to go.

Here are tips to take charge and feel the way you want to feel!

1 – start each day by choosing your feeling set point, then setting the intention to let it be your home base

2 – activate that emotion with a visualization, meditation practice – walk through your entire day in your mind, how you want it to go, how you will feel, handle things – be vivid

3 – journal your goals as if they’ve already happened, only write about what you do want

4 – notice wha you notice as you move through your day

5 – hit your feeling reset as often as needed – adjust to get back to your feeling set point for the day

6 – practice, practice, practice – repetition is king

Get Out of Your Head

Raise your hand if you’ve ever stressed about something that had not happened yet – fixated on it, totally stuck in your head.

No matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t stop thinking about it.

The scenarios, the possibilities, the negative outcomes just continued to spin out of control, rolling into another thought and another, another.

Hey you’re not alone. We’ve all done this!

It’s crazy right? The stories we come up with! The failing, the falling apart, the disasters! UGH!

And yet, none of it has even happened?! What-the-whaaa?

It’s always worse in your head, scarier than anything in real life.

It feels like your mind has a mind of it’s own, it create scenarios, stories with the worst possible outcome.

The worst part is, the stories you tell yourself feel real. You start feeling emotions you don’t want to feel.

You’re stressed. You’re tense. Your heart rate goes up. Your mind comes up with another scenario, another story where everything falls apart.

And that leads to worry. Kicks up your anxiety, the pressure weighs down on you and you feel heavy inside.

You say things like “I don’t know what to do”, “I’m stuck” or “I feel blocked”.

And yet, AGAIN – nothing has even happened.

The real problem is that these thoughts make you fixate on the obstacle – and the longer it goes on, the more your ego will catastrophize the scenario.

THAT IS BAD FOR YOU + BAD FOR YOUR (fill in the blank______ -LIFE, BUSINESS, RELATIONSHIPS, HEALTH)

It’s time to activate your power. Your success. Your fulfillment. (All of which come from you not to you)

Everyone has a voice in their head. It chatters away, talking you up or talking you down.

What if the critical voice is wrong?

SIGNS YOU’RE STUCK IN YOUR HEAD

  • Your thoughts are bouncing, racing, spinning around and around and not leading you anywhere
  • You feel tense, stressed, anxious.
  • You’re holding your breath without realizing it.
  • No matter what you think about, you don’t feel any resolve, no answers come forward
  • Your mind is spinning scenarios, none of them are good. The scenarios just seem to get worse
  • You’re thinking and assessing a lot, but not seeing any change, shift or results you want
  • Your focus always seems to go to the negatives, the problems or it all feels like one big problem
  • Your inner chatter is negative, only working you up more, leaving you feeling worse

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT

>>Don’t believe everything you think! The fact is when the ego is in charge, it never assesses your situation in your favor. Learn to talk to yourself. Tell yourself what you need to hear in the moment. Bonus, you’re the only one who really knows what you need to hear in the moment – so SCORE!!

>>Having negative thoughts is normal so don’t get down on yourself. I like to say I don’t care if you have negative thoughts, I care if you believe them. So again, don’t believe everything you think. The mind is wired to look for problems to keep you safe, but with your intention you can reframe for a more positive thought.

>>The ego spins unfavorable scenarios not your intuition. That’s why it’s good to go with your gut on your first feel, not your second thought. You will get an intuitive hit to give you direction, move on it. No need to go up in your head and mull it around – it only gets confusing up there.

>>Simply close your eyes and take a deep breath. Put your focus to your breath, feel as it moves through your body, your lungs expanding and pushing breath out. Visualize all your thoughts spinning in your mind as a color and shape it into a ball. Visualize dropping the ball as a vibrant ball of colored energy down into your body and let it expand throughout your entire being. This helps you become fully present in your body vs. just in your head.

>>Notice what you notice. What are your thoughts focused on? Something that has not happened yet? Something or someone outside of yourself? If yes, understand everything outside of yourself is nothing you can control. Bring your focus inward. What’s something you CAN do something about? What do you have control of? (hint, your thoughts, your feeling, an action step, etc)

>>Inner chatter matters. Practice empowering self-talk all day, every day. Write a list of your obstacles and then write a positive, power mantra for each obstacle.

>>Point your mind in the direction you want it to go. What IS working for you? What have you already accomplished? What DO you want to see for yourself? Your mind is there to serve you, so give it direction and point it where you want it to go.

>>Get up and move your body, better yet, shake your ass. When you move your body you move your energy. You change your state and get into a peak state. If you feel stuck in your head the worst thing is sitting down which only makes you feel smaller and stops your energy flow. Stretch your arms wide, march in place, choose your movement and continue until you feel your energy shake loose.

>>Practice, practice, practice. Mindset work in ongoing and forever. The cool thing is, the more you do it, the better you get and the less you have to monitor and check in to move your mind set point.

>>Journal it out. Never underestimate the power of the pen. However, be sure to write out what you want, how you want your life to flow – not writing out what you fear or hope doesn’t happen. Writing magnifies the feelings. When you write out what you want, it makes it tangible and activates your vibration to create the outcomes you want.

>>Choose a feeling set-point for the day. Yes, you can choose how you want to feel! If you feel yourself drifting off to thoughts that don’t feel good, remind yourself of your feeling set-point and choose a thought that activates that feeling.

>>Create visuals like a dream board, Pinterest board, personal notes to yourself, set reminders in your phone with positive affirmations that pop up through your day. All of these are great to reset your mental GPS!

>>Take action on something you can do something about. Even if it’s unrelated to your goals, get up and do it. Things as simple as taking out the garbage, getting a glass of water, cleaning off your desk can break the negative, spinning thoughts and get you into action. Develop the understanding that any action is good for your goals. This is different than avoiding what you need to get done – this is decluttering, creating order in the moment of feeling stuck to get your energy moving again.

I’ll leave you with this – do whatever works for you and keep at it until you move your energy and move your thoughts into supportive, productive action.

And never, ever believe you don’t have control of your thoughts or your outcomes.

You are in charge of you.

You can give your mind direction and with intention create the life you want and desire.

How would you rate your energy skills?

Solid? Fair? Or depends on the day?

Mastering your energy to get what you want + feeling the way you want is totally doable. So why is it so damn hard for emotionally gifted people to do?

One word.

AWARENESS.

Most EG people are not even aware they have the option to master their energy. They think they have a flaw or weakness where they feel everything whether they want to  or not – nothing they can control. Is that you?

Because I’m here to say oh not so my friend!

Not just knowing the basics or fundamentals of energy management but owning and dominating them so deeply that you do them without thinking.

You reach a level of unconscious competence just like tying your shoes, writing your name or brushing your teeth.

You don’t think, you just DO.

So instead of thinking:
“where do I even begin?”
“I’m doing all the right things but I still feel like crap”
“ugh, this is too hard to keep up with”

You just roll through your day feeling light, energized and full of life.

Does that sound amazing AF to you – or like a giant pipe dream that YOU could ever feel that way – consistently?

Mastery means going beyond the surface information, it means going deep into the layers until you have mastered each one. And it’s NOT, let me repeat NOT as complicated as you might think.

If you’ve tried and failed, dabbled and lost your way with energy management (self-care, positive thinking, etc) – you might be feeling like it’s not possible for you.

Stick with me and I’ll prove you wrong. Energy MASTERY is possible for anyone.

As long as you have the right tools, guidance and MIND-SET point.

How masterful are you at energy management?

How many times have you started a self-care practice only to realize you had left it behind or piled under all the to-dos on your list?

Here are the 4 levels of Energy Mastery.

Which one are you currently functioning at?

LEVEL 1: Knowledge + understanding. Knowing what you know, but not necessarily doing it. Your ability to know and understand. Everyone starts here.

You get it, you’re aware of the information but have not reached the level of implementing from within or following through to make it a habit. It’s like reading the book cover and the preface to understand the topic but not having gone deep and read the book yet.

This is where most women dabble and many times destroy their belief they can have it all. They tell themselves “they already know this” and beat themselves up for not feeling better or being more consistent because “they should know better” but knowing is not where transformation or mastery happens.

This start-stop, start-stop cycle hits repeat feeling heavier on every stop. Information by itself is not life-changing or valuable – but it is step 1.

LEVEL 2: Emotional or feeling awareness. You feel and more importantly – you’re aware of what you feel. You notice what you notice by tuning into your feeling place.

So instead of just noticing you feel off, you notice that you notice and bring presence to it – with the intent to adjust as needed. Only when you bring presence to something do you have the power to change or shift it.

Emotions and feelings are a powerful tool to mastering energy management because you can activate the emotion you want and need when experiencing one you don’t want or need.

This looks like “I feel like crap” and feeling stuck there vs. “I notice I don’t like the way I feel” with the intent to shift to a better feeling place.

LEVEL 3: Physical or adjusting. This means taking action with intention. Focusing on the result or energy you want and adjusting UNTIL you get there.

This may mean (and 99.9% of the time does) moving your body, changing your physiology to get in the state you want. When you get really good (after doing level 4 enough) you shift there almost automatically. It becomes unconscious competence for you.

LEVEL 4: Repetition or practice. Over and over, all of the above, all throughout your day. Sounds like a lot of work at first, and it can be clunky – but practice makes mastery. I work with my clients to stay consistent through the process until it feels natural.

Repetition takes you from thinking, planning and monitoring to just being who, what and where you need and want to be energetically.

You adjust on the fly without even thinking about it. A basketball player doesn’t have to concentrate to dribble the ball – they just move and dribble to the basket. Same goes here. You don’t think about where your energy is in every moment – you just move and adjust to your goals.

What level are you??

What I have found is most women are doing some or bits of different levels, but not consistently and not having mastered EVERY level + they have no idea how to ACCURATELY track their progress which can keep them in the loop of start-stop.

They think “I’m doing all the right things but what I want is not happening” so they feel what they are doing is not working. It is working, but they are not measuring their success accurately.

Example – If I want “A” to happen and I do all the wonderful things to make “A” happen, but the only way I measure my success if “A” happens – and it doesn’t happen, or hasn’t happened yet I might feel like I’m failing or what I’m doing is not working. This can lead me to quit or get frustrated which damages the process.

With that perspective, I am failing.

However if I were to take a different perspective and see that “B, C, H and Y” have been going gangbusters – in other words, there’s total progress in other areas of my life or business, relationships, etc. – that would take the pressure of “A” and also give a better perspective of my progress.

I had a client that felt she wasn’t making progress – and then in the next breath told me all these unexpected awesome things that had happened for her while she was working on her goal. When I pointed it out she was pleasantly surprised and happy to acknowledge the growth in her life. (who doesn’t love growth am I right??)

What she was really doing was being rigid with her success. She was not assessing her whole life, only her one goal.

If you improve anything at all, even the tiniest thing in your mindset and your energy – your life will reflect that improvement somewhere. So you have to look at the whole picture, your whole life and assess accurately. I love teaching that skill! It’s a game-changer.

What level of energy mastery are you at currently? What level would you like to be at consistently?

If there’s one thing I have mastered, it’s my energy. It’s my thing. It’s my zone of genius. It’s my playland.

It’s why I’ve been called “The Queen of Positive Energy”. (one of my favorite compliments!)

If your energy is great, you’re not struggling or you feel amazing consistently – high five! Keep that going. Positive energy is what dreams are made of!
